SY, United Synagogue Youth, is the high school age affiliate of The United Synagogue of America. USY brings great friends and exciting programs to Jewish teens in our synagogue and around the world...and transforms teens into Jewish leaders for the next generation.
Kadima is the middle school age affiliate of United Synagogue Youth. Kadima is Hebrew for "forward."
At Temple Beth O'r/Beth Torah, there are always exciting activities coming up for both USY and Kadima. Here are the latest upcoming events:
- MAZEL TOV TO ERIC HEIDELBERGER AND HIS FAMILY ON HIS BAR MITZVAH, SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 29-9:30 AM.
- COME SHARE OUR YOUTH SHABBAT - FRIDAY - November 14. Our very own TBO/BT youth will be conducting the service! Join us for a festive, authentic Italian dinner at 6:00 pm. Services to follow at 8:00 pm. Cost for dinner is $18.00 per adult and $11.00 for children 13 and under. RSVP to the temple office by November 11. Office or 732-381-8403.
- USY AND KADIMA HELP OUT AT THE YES, WE CARE SOUP KITCHEN - Monday - November 17 - 6:00 - 6:30 pm. RSVP to B. James if you can join us for this very worthwhile and rewarding mitzvah of helping others.
- TUESDAY WITH CLUSY @ TBOBT IN THE YOUTH LOUNGE - November 18 - 6:30 - 8:00 PM.
- USY FALL KINNUS - Friday & Saturday - November 21 & 23 - Marlboro, NJ. Application deadline is November 3. The dance on Saturday night is open to the Region - 8:00 - 11:30 pm. RSVP to B. James by November 16 if you will be attending the dance only.

USY AND KADIMA ANNUAL PRE-THANKSGIVING ICE SKATING EVENT - Wednesday - November 26 - 8:00 - 10:00 pm - at the Mennen Arena in Morris Plains. Many chapters will attend. Cost: $5.00 includes skates. RSVP to B. James by November 23.
