Our Presidents
Lillian Makow and Thelma Purdy are serving as co-presidents of Temple Beth O'r/Beth Torah. Jonathan Phillips is our executive vice-president.
The three of us are honored to be chosen to lead the members of Temple Beth O'r/Beth Torah into the second decade of the Twenty First Century. Our objectives are the same as those written into our constitution by our founders 54 years ago. "To provide facilities for the worship of the Jewish faith"…a House of Prayer. "To conduct classes designed to deepen and promote a love for and reverence to the fundamental principles of Judaism"….a House of Learning. "To foster and provide for a harmonious Jewish communal and social life." a House of Community.
The focus of our leadership is to create a fertile ground for new ideas and programs that will allow Temple Beth O'r/Beth Torah to continue to thrive. We want to enhance and nourish all aspects or our warm, welcoming, active Jewish community.
